to toilets, feature the extremely durable and Hygienic
CeFiONtect glaze exclusively available only on TOTO
products.

Fired glaze

One unique aspect of this special glaze is that it is applied
prior to firing the ceramics and goes through the entire firing
process. Unlike coated ceramics in which the glaze is applied
after firing, the firing process makes the CeFiONtect glaze
especially durable and long-lasting.

Simply smoother

The CeFiONtect glaze has a remarkably smooth surface. If
you look at conventional ceramic surfaces under a microscope,
you see a jagged landscape reminiscent of a mountain
range. It is easy for dirt to accumulate in these “valleys”. This
is not possible with the extremely smooth CeFiONtect glaze,
which makes it difficult for dirt to stick in the first place.
Suitable for microfiber cloth
Microfiber cloth is not suitable for cleaning conventional
ceramics. The microfibers erode the peaks of the “mountain
ranges” over time, giving the ceramic a dull, lacklustre
surface. CeFiONtect is extremely smooth and hard, making
microfiber cloths an appropriate option for cleaning.
Cleaning and care
The CeFiONtect glaze makes ceramics far easier to clean.
There are practically no special cleaning instructions for this
very hard, durable and smooth surface, which can stand up to
pressure washers, disinfectants and aggressive non abrasive
cleansers.
In most cases, the ceramic surface should be cleaned regularly
with a clean, moist cloth. If it is necessary to use a cleanser,
we recommend a slightly acidic cleanser with vinegar or citric
acid to prevent lime scale, or an alkaline cleanser to eliminate
oils and fats. TOTO always recommends using cleansers
without abrasives. Please avoid using aggressive cleansers
to help the environment.
You can use any conventional toilet bowl cleaner and a toilet
brush for your toilet.

Ecology

The properties of the CeFiONtect glaze make it very easy to
clean without the need for aggressive cleansers. This is better
for the environment.
